Description

This build order in really easy to execute. He is designed for beginners or new player who want a solid build order to improve and to reach a good level.

The goal is to do an early pressure then go to a Immortal/Archon/Chargelot composition.

This build can be done against Zerg, Terran or Protoss with almost no variation from Bronze to Master. The build is really effective and he already helped many Protoss to go to diamond or Master.

Why i did this build order ?

  • Easy to do for beginners
  • Universal: Can be done against Zerg, Terran and Protoss
  • Easy to understand
  • Help you to improve your mechanics by focusing on macro
  • Macro oriented
  • Include scouting timing to help you learning how to scout
  • Can be done from bronze to master (I did a serie using only this)
  • Really powerfull with many strong timings

Few tips :

  • Against a Zerg : Do you first 3 buildings inside your wall
  • Don't commit on micro, macro is the most important thing
  • Never stop probe production (except if you want more unit) until you reach 3 fully saturated bases
  • Too many minerals = more Gates
  • Focus on one simple army composition: zealot / Immortal / Archon
  • Learn to scout step by step: Understand why he is taking gas, why he doesn't expand etc...

This build is designed to be good in defense and in attack. You can use it without adaptation until mid-diamond. In mid-diamond you should do some small adaptations like playing with 2 adepts first against zerg.

Seems really great! Does anyone know if this is still a good basic build for silver-gold league a year and a half later? If not, could you point me to another, similar more current build? Thanks!

I agree with wren42... I like this build, it's good, but the biggest problem for me is to survive until the 3rd base allows me to start creating a big army. Many players in platinum do all-in at 5-7 minutes, this is a dangerous time for this build, because we invest in the 3rd base at this time and the opponent can invest in all-in...

Well I understand what your said wren42.
But you need to scout and you need to understand what happen (that's the reason why I did 2 video about how to scout in PvZ and PvT. The PvP version is coming but blizz did many change in this match up).
Of course I can do more units and things like this... But that's mean less tech which is important in PvZ and PvT for example. Useless units mean later T3 units and it's the most important thing in this build order.

In case of cheese or all-in,you have your first scout then your observer. It's important to use them to know if you need more units.

I like the adjustments with the earlier nexus. However, I'm worried this will just die to many cheese/early aggression builds, as your gateways are idle for a very long time. you only build 4 stalkers, then don't use warpgate when it comes up, instead over-investing in tech and double forge at the same time.

I would suggest adjusting the build to use warpgates more frequently to get your unit count a bit higher, even if this slightly delays your Templar archives and upgrades (it shouldn't very much)

I like to have a stalker/adept count of at least 8-12 for the early-mid game or else you simply die to anything like 3 rax, 4 gate, or roach/ling.

Really nice build. I Just restarted to play a little and took that build. For new players (and me) i made an even more detailled version of the same build based on the video: https://lotv.spawningtool.com/build/91594/playable/
