Description

This timing attack is meant to outright kill a Protoss or at the very least kill an established 3rd base. I used to do this without Lair and without +1, but in the current meta with Archon drop being a thing, it's quite dangerous to attack with no Overseer in case of defensive DT warp-ins.

The reason i would suggest Plat+ for this build is that there ends up being a decent amount of multitasking. You'll be moving out potentially while you're still being dropped by Archons on such, so you may need to keep a bit of units at home on one hotkey while attacking with your main force with another hotkey. Good to note that 3 defensive Ravagers can bile down a warp prism if you manage to catch it in warp-in mode.

Here is a replay showing the attack and showing a defense vs Archon drop and other aggression: http://ggtracker.com/matches/7086888

This build is against the meta and hits Protoss at a time they don't expect as the standard is to attack with Ravager Ling Bane or Hydra Ling Bane off a minimum of 66 drones. Below this is just a replay vs AI, good to practice the build a few times vs AI before trying on ladder.

Analysis

Vs Resonating Glaive Adepts you'll want to get about 7 Roaches started at 4:20~4:30 and then a bunch of speedlings. While defending go back to droning to hit the needed amount and then continue into the 12 Roaches followed by pure speedlings. The attack is generally 9 Ravager, 3 Roaches and mass speedlings. On the way to your opponent's base you'll get enough gas to morph the last 3 Roaches to Ravagers. After you kill the opponent's 3rd you're free to drone to 3 base saturation if most of your army is still alive. Get +2 melee, bane nest and bane speed to go into standard Ravager Ling Bane.

Vs 2 Base Chargelot pressure (not an allin, just a pressure where they take a 3rd base after) I would suggest to make 9 or so Roaches to defend, speedling won't help much. Then as above drone to recommended amount and do the attack. Chargelots do counter speedlings so you may just want to take out the 3rd and transition into Lurker Ling Bane. Go 3 base sat, take a 4th, get bane nest, bane speed, +2 melee and a Hydra Den. If you get attacked don't invest much in speedlings for now, use Roach Ravager to defend vs Chargelots, but once Lurker Den is done you can make some Lurkers and attack with Lurker Ravager and flood lings behind (and morph banes).

Vs Stargate Openers you can change your mind about doing this attack and just go for a standard 3 base Hydra Ling Bane. If you do commit to the attack, I'd just say take out the 3rd, drone to full 3 base saturation after, get Hydra Den, Bane Nest, bane Speed, +2 melee and 2nd evo (for carapace upgrades).

Vs DT into Archon drop you'll want to make ~9 Roaches once at 2 base saturation 3 gas. Have 3 Roaches sit on each spore so DTs can kill the Spore. Then go into the attack as usual and end the game. I have a replay vs this in the build description above.
