We’re going to see a game where Serral has to be especially tight since it’s paladino terminal - a tiny map where the adepts arrive super fast
3:20 See’s the twilight and 2xgates at 3:25 - this is a textbook glaive adept opening Immediately puts back on gas and drops a roach warren Some players prefer to take a second gas also and put back on a bit later - however on such a small map you really need to respect how fast those adepts will arrive so just putting back on your single gas earlier to rush out those first 7-10 roaches is vital 7 roaches + 16 lings → Immediately into droning You can adapt these numbers a little to your own preference but it’s important to be droning and building more overlords whilst the pressure is happening If they commit they’ll always get some drones - it’s your job to make sure it’s not a disaster!
4:30 Roaches on 1, Lings on 2 Cool adjustment we see a little later is the anti-air queens take priority on2 Meet the adepts out front with some roaches if you can, but use most to chase the shades For some players who aren’t as fast it’s best to just split your roaches and lings onto 2 groups from the start, one to engage out front and one to intercept the shades If you do this put all the lings on the ones to intercept the shades - you don’t want to spill your lings out into the adept-grinder for free - just punish if they overcommit
