Because of the new starting changes in LotV ZvZ has become a very volatile Matchup in the early game, 12 and 14 pools are very very hard to hold with a hatch first if not impossible, this is without mentioning 4 player maps, and because of 4 larva injects it is very easy for your opponent to stack a couple injects and make a considerable amount of Speedlings and banes which can come completely unexpectedly and you will simply die to them.
This defensive build was developed with zergling/baneling floods in mind, but at the same time keeping up with an opponent that goes 15 hatch.
Why is there no SALT encoding or Overwolf build?

17 | Spawning Pool - DO NOT build it behind your mineral line, you need to create a small nest for your Queen in case a Ling runby happens, that way she can hold on her own.

18 | Extractor - 3 to gas ASAP, otherwise you won't have 75 gas for the Roaches

17 | Queen - @100 you can send her to your Natural or keep her

19 | Drone x3 - You can get away with making a drone here, if you are worried about your enemy getting a early pool (Tournament setting), you can get a spine or a set of Zerglings instead.

26 | Roach - You will have exactly 3 larva for the Roaches, but you will bank a bit of extra minerals.

30 | Roach, Baneling Nest - @100% 3 to 4 Banes or skip for later if you want to be really and use your Lings to scout.

The Roach FE build is designed as a defensive BO where you get 4 to 5 early roaches to block off your ramp while you macro and get some Banelings to prevent any kind of Ling flood, building positioning is very important because it allows your queens to hold on their own while your roaches go to help.
Because of the LotV Beta Map Pool it is best if you use your Baneling nest not as part of the Natural walloff but as a defensive building you put 1 hex away from the Natural hatch and put a Queen in the gap.
Later in the game the build can transition seamlessly into a +1 SpeedRoach Bane Timing (Muta/Ravager-Ling can easily die to this timing), into you taking your third base teching to Hidras/Lurkers behind it all.
The build has quite a bit of potential, so even when my own execution wasn't the best the build itself can hold on his own quite well.
Beware of your opponent taking his Third as a response, if he does, and the map does not allow you to take your third safely vs Speedlings then you can do a Roach push with bane support and do as much damage as possible, but try to not commit much to it, otherwise you won't be able to recover as fast because Roaches take longer to build than Lings.
