I thought I'd share this build I've developed vs. zerg with y'all. I play high Plat/low Diamond, and this season I've matched at least half of my games with zerg. Almost every single time they go for hydras. So, my strategy has been making about 8 oracles off of 2 stargates before teching into carriers and chargelots. Let me explain.

I open with gateway into nexus; extremely standard, usually with a full wall on the low-ground so I can have a safe expo. I'll usually only make the one gate unless I need another for the wall, and just produce enough defensive units out of there. My philosophy is that a lot of zergs will let you sit back and tech up because they want to do the same. However, a maxed out army of carriers and chargelots will completely roll over anything the zerg has, especially hydras. So I sit back with minimal units, just the MSC and a few adepts to defend. Note: on the first expo I take my gasses very early. About when I have both gasses on my expo I plop down my two Stargates, and begin making nonstop oracles from that point on (chrono stargates). At around the 5-6 minute mark I'll also take the 3rd and wall off as much as I can. When I have 8 oracles, I move out with them across the map, and drop the Fleet Beacon and Twilight, and eventually a 3rd Stargate. 8 oracles can snipe a zerg expo within seconds: just focus down the spores and queen and you can kill the drones and the hatch every time before their army arrives. Fly around with the oracles and keep the zerg on their side of the map while you begin pumping out 3 carriers at a time. At this point, if I have 3 bases that have gone untouched I will have a ton of minerals floating around, which is why I decided to incorporate chargelots into the build. Burn the extra minerals on gates and chargelots until you're maxed on carriers and chargelots. Hopefully your oracles will still be around.
Basically this shreds a hydra army, even with queens in it. As soon as their initial hydra army is burnt, the zerg will either hastily make more hydras, which will die, or try to get out corrupts, which can (1) be easily countered by voids and carriers kill them anyway, and (2) do nothing against your chargelots, which can just walk through them and kill a base. I've never died when I've reached the maxed carrier/chargelot army. The oracles, if they're still alive, are actually amazing at killing hydras too.
So, what is this build weak against? Honestly, the only thing I've died to is when two people back to back 6-pooled me. Many zergs will move out with a big roach/raveger/ling timing, but at that point I usually have at least 4 oracles out and they can deal with that easily with their beams and stasis wards (which you should be putting around your bases throughout the entire game). You can also die to non-stop ling harass in your expos: right about when you start building the first carriers is is when you need your eco firing on all cylinders, and if you lose too many workers it might be gg. Here's a replay vs. a diamond opponent I played where the strategy is showcased perfectly: check it out!

Thanks for the build - I've been trying it out.
If they quick tech switch to muta - carrier wreck them.
The only problem about oracles is that they are very fragile. Anything more than a queen + spore crawler and you can't really engage
