Diamond and above build, though people lower could try as well. The hellions are meant to give you early game control- denying creep tumours, and threatening to attack drones, thus forcing your opponent to make lings. The banshees keep you a lot safer vs roach all-ins than any of the other starport units.

Key Things to keep in mind The hellions are meant to give you early game control- denying creep tumours, and threatening to attack drones, thus forcing your opponent to make lings. The banshees keep you a lot safer vs roach all-ins than any of the other starport units. We don't wanna go over 6 hellions. We can choose whether we want to do a push when our +1 +1 upgrades finish, or just send a double drop to clear creep to preserve strength for a +2 +2 push. In this replay, Clem chooses to play the 8 rax style. He chooses my favorite variation, which does not get any addons on barracks 6, 7 and 8. This variation allows you to get more marines immediately at the cost of having weaker production later. HOWEVER, this also allows you to get a 4th base, rather than being on a full 3 base only commitment (which would happen in case you do the Korean 8 rax, which gets reactors on these last few barracks, thus meaning you won't have the money to make a 4th). More things to note, Clem does this very well and this is good advice: hotkeying your tanks so you can target fire banelings is massive in bio vs zerg.
Scouting First of all, I recommend always SCV scout on the ladder. I do an 18 SCV scout (rally the CC to send an SCV out on 18/21 Supply). This should tell you if you are facing a 1 base allin/pool first. Secondly, the reaper can give a lot of information just by seeing the timing of the third base, and whether the queen injected first or made a tumor first in the natural. Lastly, a good time to scout again is 3:45, if it's a big ravager allin the zerg would take 2 extra gases. Based on the amount of gas mined out of the first gas we can also determine whether the zerg played overlord speed, or, if they have a roach warren, might allin us on 1 gas.
After we set up our third base and 5 barracks, we have the choice if whether we want to play the more standard modern TvZ, which is playing 5 gas widow mine bio, or playing the more aggressive 8 rax style aka the "brick style"- 60 scv 4 gas, 8 rax before 4th. In this video, I will recommend the 8 rax option, as it is easier to play and very rewarding to successful macro (can hit with a massive amount of units)- great style to practice with. 8 rax aims to hit a +2 +2 with a massive marine tank army.
