Description

Long was it believed that 2 Base Openers versus Protoss can only work if you cheese or allin. I am here to prove you all wrong by opening with a 2 Base Macro Opener into 4 Hatch Brood Lord.

Who am I

At the Time of writing this I am a around 6100 MMR Grandmaster Zerg on the EU Server. I play almost only 2 Base Macro Openers (4:30 3rd or later). The focus of my play lies on quick Tech to take control of the game early.

Goal of the Build

The Goal is to defend all Protoss Harassment with minimal investment. We enter the mid game with either Roaches or Hydralisks and use our tech heavy Units to secure fast save Expansions and get to Hive Tech.

@100 Gas Ling Speed
@2 Queens Start 2 More + 4 Lings - Zone the Adepts with the 2 Queens at the natural while keeping the 4 Lings in the Main
@4 Queens start Lair
@3:30 Roach Warren + Evo Chamber + 2 Spores (Main and Natural)
@3:45 3 More Gasses

LAIR TIME

If up against Stargate --> +1 Melee + Bane Nest + Hydra Den
If up against something else --> +1 Ranged + Roach Speed (Spire if you feel adventerous)
@4:30-5:00 start a 3rd --> Spam Roaches/Hydras after saturating Main and Natural until you feel save
@3rd Base --> Saturate it
@55-60 Drones start a 4th, get 2 More gas and start an Infestation Pit
@Infestation Pit --> Hive + Spire

HIVE TIME

@Hive --> Greater Spire
@Greater Spire --> 8 Corruptors --> Brood Lords
