Description

This build order is really easy to execute. He is designed for beginner or new player who want a solid build order to improve and to reach a good level.

The english version is coming in some weeks :)

The goal is to do an early pressure and to go on a zealots / Immortals / Archons army. This build can be done against Zerg, Terran or Protoss with almost no variation from Bronze to Master. The build is really effective and he already helped many Protoss to go to diamond or Master.

Why i did this build order ?

  • Easy to do for beginner
  • Universal : Can be done against Zerg, Terran and Protoss
  • Easy to understand
  • Help you to improve your mechanics by focusing on macro
  • Macro oriented
  • Include scouting timing to help you learning how to scout
  • Can be done from bronze to master (I did a serie using only this)
  • Really powerfull with many strong timings

This build is designed to be good in defense and in attack. You can use it without adaptation until mid-diamond. In mid-diamond you should do some small adaptations like starting playing with 2 adepts first against zerg.

ahh that makes sense.

what about building adept instead? this saves a bit of gas, my thought would be:

pylon
gateway
assim
gateway
cyber
nexus
pylon
assim
warpgate + 2x adept for scout
robo

This gets nexus a tiny bit sooner while still starting 2 gates, and adepts are great for early scouting and worker harass.

About the 2 gates :

- 4 stalkers is enough : Against Zerg and terran you need to expand fast. 6 stalkers would be really to much (against P it can be okay... but you can totally be safe with 4 stalkers and a robo after the nexus).
- I start with 2 gas because i need at least 4 probes on the gas to be able to do 4 stalkers + wg without cuting anything :) With a 4 adepts for example, you can play with only 1 gas.

ok I see, you want it to work for protoss so 2 gate is safer.

Is there a reason you cut gateway production after 4 stalkers? Do you just see this as enough for early game or should we actually continue to produce out of these 2 until warpgate finishes?

also do you double gas early to prevent steal or do you really need it for this build?

Hey wren42 :

Was a mistake about roach/hydralisk (I mix an old description of build order with this one, I will change this).
1 gate FE 20/20 is really standard. You can use it against terran and zerg but it's terrible against a protoss. When I do a PvX build order, i'm focus on a build which can be use against all races. This opening is maybe less economic oriented than standard FE but can be used against all races. It's more "pressure oriented".

also you have some strange timings.

for instance forges start at 6:09, and upgrades start at 6:19. Forges take longer than 10 seconds to build.

yes "go on a roach/hydralisks army" I think means "counter an roach/hydralisk army"

OP, what are the advantages/disadvantages over a normal 1 gate FE 20 nexus 20 cyber? Why should I use this instead of that build?

Nope :) I try to put as many content as I can for each race :)
