This build is similar to PiG's, except I add a templar archives after charge. Because DT archons are more expensive than HT archons, this variation is actually nearly equal at the time of the attack, and grows stronger in comparison once the attack starts since you save money on archons. PiG's: 3 DT archons after initial DTs cost 750/750 = 1500 resources My Variation: 3 HT archons after initial DTs + archives = 450/1100 = 1650 resources
There are 2 obvious weaknesses of this build 1. Your 3rd base has very few probes, so if your attack fails you could be behind 2. This build doesn't get a forge, so you'll have no upgrades or cannons
You could add a forge at the cost of 1.5 zealots, and you could saturate your 3rd a bit, but this would weaken the timing attack.
