Analysis
Scouting = 2 lings + overlord skirts edge. If too complicated just send first overlord straight through their main base checking their 2nd pylon for tech.
Tell = SG going for a VR, though you can find some good success with this vs any SG opening
Build =
- 3:30 put workers back on gas + Lair and 2nd gas.
- Nonstop queen production
- Stop droning at 2-mineral lines, 2 gases saturation.
- Overseer + Nydus worm at same time - queue overseer to go to edge of main to spy for nydus in the main after your first one out front
- Mass Lings and gogogo - use lings to spot for nydus - do it a bit further back where it can safely get up - then go for more aggressive 2nd nydus in the main, 3rd one up closer to enemy natural.
- Engagement
- Try to send lings in earlier - My opponents tend to rush their 3rd around 4:00, so I’m investing in 10-20 lings really early, even before I’m finished droning to look for a cancel and disrupt their opening.
- Nydus pops: Spread 1-2 tumors immediately
- Spam transfuse to save nydus worm if its low when it first pops (always make sure queens are loaded into it first so they pop first)
- Split lings to attack multiple targets
- Focus down shield batteries if they’re exposed
- Manage queens as a group - don’t wander too far off creep where they can fight just 1-2 queens at a time
- Bring the drones?
- If their ground unit count is growing you can bring 4 drones and build spines
- If their air unit count is growing you can bring 4 drones and build spores
- Transition: This is meant to be a kill move BUT if drags on I often go for 2 more gases hydra den, hydra den upgrades and try to get out a lot of hydras.
- You can drone a big round or so to do hydras off a good economy, or maybe only add 6 drones and basically be following up with a 2-base hydra all-in.

You actually don't need the 2nd gas, if you keep 3 workers in the first gas from when it's taken. Makes the BO even easier. You can also army popping out of the nydus at 5:30, usually with 5 queens + 30-40 zerglings, which is enough even against 2 voidrays.
