Analysis

Notes

  • Shades across map - if reaper comes in can stay at home - but must scout no later than second shade
  • If adept sees factory on reactor you shade home (can run in and try to hit hellions/mines before shading out for free damage) - and focus very hard on defence - add a phoenix and do NOT send your oracle across the map. 4 hellion runby or fast mine drop will demand all your units at home
  • Even if oracle is safe to scout only harass once or twice - then just use revelation constantly to track their army
  • Timing on robo, robo bay and first colossus is VITAL - you need the colossi out fast to engage pushes before they siege up and wear them down, bait out stim/interferece matrix
  • Vs Raven opening get 4-5 stalkers in your army ASAP and engage them a bit outside your base - focus fire the raven with stalkers whilst colossi beams wear down the infantry - if they lock down your colossi quickly pull back and disengage. Even if you lose some units wasting raven energy, damaging it and baiting stim will make the actual fight much easier

How to stop 2-base pushes? - By default pause at 6 probes on your 3rd base if you're unsure what you're up against or facing a strong 2-base push - If they go to 5-rax before 3rd CC, you know they're very committed and you can stay on this probe count for a long time, focusing just on getting your 7 gates up, keeping your colossus production going, and adding charge and single forge upgrades whilst surviving. - On the other hand vs a fast 3rd CC you can probe non-stop right up to 66 probes
